Greetings!
If you are reading this it is likely that you are interested in knowing a little more about me. I am an M.S. student and graduate at Western Oregon University's College of Education where I specialized in integrated science. I have earned my ESOL endorsement and am working toward my reading endorsement. I began my student teaching at Howard Street Charter Middle School where I utilized my dance and theater arts experience, integrating theater and art into chemistry and life science lessons. I completed my sudent teaching requirements at Mary Eyre Elementary in a third grade ESOL classroom consisting of students of varying cultural backgrounds and academic skills. This placement is where I honed my classroom management techniques, utilizing elements from ENVoY and Love & Logic to positively and respectfully maintain a safe and productive class. I have a well practiced skill at building trust and rapport with every student, acknowledging them as individuals with innate skills and valuing their contributions to class. I look forward to working in your school where my skills and enthusiasm will be a valuable asset.
